Pima County Public Library’s Nuestras Raíces committee is co-sponsoring a new Latino Literature book club in conjunction with Las Comadres Para Las Americas organization.

This is the inaugural meeting of Las Comadres & Friends National
Latino Book Club. This unique book club promotes
Latino authors and literature. Membership is open to all adults .
Refreshments will be provided. The books can be checked out at
Pima County Public Libraries or purchased at local booksellers.

Volunteers needed at Tucson Festival of Books

At the Tucson Festival of Books, the weekend of March 10th and 11th, the Nuestras Raíces tent will be hosting author presentations, crafts, and book signings. There will also be the opportunity to buy quilt raffle tickets. To make this all possible, however, we need your help. Please join us in volunteering at the Nuestras Raíces tent.

You can sign-up for a time slot here. The tent will be located on the north side of the Bear Down Gym.

We are selling raffle tickets for is beautiful quilt. Tickets are $7 each or 3 tickets for $15.

You may purchase raffle tickets at our next meeting or at the Tucson Festival of Books. The raffle will occur on March 11th.

We would like to send a huge thank you to all of the gracious and creative quilters who worked on and donated the quilt. Thank you Dorothy Lee and Annette Meyer!
